Seat Available: Twelve (12) seats of which six (6) are for government candidates and six (6) for non-government candidates.

Admission Test: Conducted by BMU
Admission Test Date: Usually in November
Eligibility criteria to appear in admission test: One year after completion of internship. Deputation rules applicable for government doctors.


Seat Available: Candidates must achieve 70% mark to pass the part one.

Eligibility criteria to appear in admission test: Passing MBBS and having full registration with BMDC. Deputation rules applicable for government doctors.

Eligibility criteria to appear in the exam: To appear in the membership exam candidates have to complete at least four (4) years after completing MBBS. Two-year training in Psychiatry in an Institute/Hospital recognized by BCPS is also required.
